A Twitter user who identified himself as Torty has narrated on Monday how his close friend was struggling in a toxic relationship.
Torty said his friend had initially wanted to borrow N10,000 from him but he had only N7000 naira so he gave him that only for him to discover that he had sent the money to his girlfriend.
He also discovered that the girlfriend had replied, not with thanks, but to say that the money was not sufficient.
“So last week my gee visited. I had some job applications to help him with. In d middle of our gist,he asked me 2 lend him 10k,but I could only spare 7k.Later,I took his phone 2get pics we took when a text popped up!D first line on d Notification bar was harsh so I opened it,” he narrated.
“It read ‘what sort of nonsense is this? You couldn’t even make it up to 10k. I told you I wanted to make my hair. I really don’t appreciate it’ I was in shock . I gave him the phone to read the useless text his girl sent. I para for am. Shey u dey whine me?” he said.
Torty was surprised that his friend could go to great lengths to satisfy a woman who seems insatiable and toxic.
“You borrow money to give who no dey appreciate am? My guy you dey struggle u dey lap broke girl with entitlement cap?My guy dey beg me, tell me say him don tire but he no fit just leave the girl.Say him don send am 20k dis January but she para say e no go anywhere for her rent,” he said.
“I just told my guy make we go lunch. I use my hand type the breakup text. I tell am to go through it over the weekend and make up his mind. He called me this morning and told me he has broken up and the girl is begging. No be she talk say men with cash are chasing her?” he added.
The Twitter user did not hesitate to add that it is mentally unhealthy to pursue a toxic relationship without mutual recognition and respect for one another’s value.
