NNPC debunks rumor

Meanwhile, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) has denied rumours about raising the price of fuel.

This response from NNPC came after reports in the media suggested that the company might raise the price of petrol from the current N617 per litre to somewhere between N720 and N750 in the upcoming weeks.

This rumor caused an uproar on social media as Nigerians lamented how they would survive with any hike in the price of fuel.
