Priscilla Asikhia took to her LinkedIn profile to celebrate her success as she bagged a PhD in human resources management with distinction at 25 from Babcock University.
This academic feat has made her the institution’s youngest PhD graduate and one of Nigeria’s youngest doctors of philosophy. She also had her Master’s degree in Business Administration & Management at 22 and her Bachelor’s degree in Business
Administration at 19. Asikhia on her LinkedIn profile wrote, “𝐎𝐍𝐂𝐄 𝐂𝐀𝐋𝐋𝐄𝐃 𝐀𝐍 𝐍𝐅𝐀 (𝐍𝐎 𝐅𝐔𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐄 𝐀𝐌𝐁𝐈𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍),
𝐍𝐎𝐖 𝐀 𝟐𝟓-𝐘𝐄𝐀𝐑 𝐎𝐋𝐃 𝐏𝐇𝐃 𝐇𝐎𝐋𝐃𝐄𝐑!!!”
“A young girl who didn’t believe in herself as a result of my underperformance back in high school. A JSS 2 girl, once called, “No Future Ambition” by her principal now a Ph.D. Holder. I am glad to announce that I have just been awarded a Ph.D. and also holding the position of the youngest Ph.D. graduate at Babcock University. All glory be to God for
this great feat.”
The 25-year doctor further expressed that it had not been easy combining work with school at a young age. She mentioned that the book of Philippians chapter four and verse
thirteen kept her going.
“I want to say a big thank you to my supermodel; Prof. Olalekan Asikhia, my lovely mother; Dr. Busayo Asikhia, My awesome brother; Iseoluwa Asikhia, and My supervisor; Dr. Akinlabi Babatunde, and those that made me who I am today.”
She encouraged everyone, including herself, to put God first in all things, be diligent, and not give up on themselves.
