Twitter influencer, Daniel Regha has caused controversy yet again as he criticized Nigerian artistes for developing a sense of superiority after they attain international recognition.
Taking to Twitter, Daniel dragged Wizkid and Burna Boy and accused them of making false statements due to “little” fame.
Recall that sometime in 2022, Wizkid stated that he doesn’t listen to rap because he believes it’s dead.

Similarly, Burna Boy caused quite a stir after he described Afrobeats as “nothing”, saying it lacks substance.
Regha wrote, “It’s sad how some Nigerian artistes start overrating themselves once they gain litt!e Int. recognition.
“Wizkid first said “Rap is dead”, & now Burna has disrespected afrobeats artistes. If their statements are true that will be understandable, but these were just for validation.”
Reactions: Anything for clout
Many agreed with Regha about his take on Nigerian artistes. Here are some comments:
@youngskidmusic: They own their mouth, let them say what they like. One of the reasons I like Davido & Baddo, it seems they’re the only people in this industry that’s worth celebrating. The rest of them are just saying trash for validation. Shame on them.
@OZONEOFAFRICA: They are just chasing clout, Burnaboy did his own to promote his upcoming album, hope it’s not a bad idea because we will never forget.
@emmy_khay1: They did that for clout and engagement Remember they always do this before dropping an Album.
@PreciousV00: They’ll do anything for clout.
@Rcee_sign800: They are all after money.
@big_sammy11: Everything Burna says was true The word Afro beat is a genre that directly relates to one genre what Burna is singing can’t be defined so choosing to name it Afro fusion still not out of contest. Also we all listen to music content if u can’t say it someone else will.
