A Nigerian man was stunned with the ridiculous idea that a man gets married and still stays in his family compound.
He insisted that any man who sold such an idea to a woman he planned on getting married to was an unserious person.
He added that it could breed enmity between his wife, his mother and siblings if he stayed in the family compound.

His tweet suggested that any man planning on getting married should be ready to leave his family compound.
He wrote: “You will marry a wife and start living with her in a family house for what? So that your mother and siblings will come and start counting the number of meat she serves you? A man that wants to sell such idea to you is not ready for marriage. Find another serious man. End.”
Abeg, don’t put unnecessary pressure on people
The tweet had netizens agreeing with him but a few others were against it.
@Alaka nurudeen: “This is why people create unnecessary pressure for themselves, Our parent do these during their time and life doesn’t end.”
@Clearing Agent: “Agba, what if it’s the kind of family house where the man has his flat separate from the main house. The wife will have her everything private as she would if the rented elsewhere? She determines what 2 cook or how to run her home. Just that she’s in a family compound wit inlaws.”
@Madam Tehillah(ObidientlyYusFul): “Agba Goodafternoon, What about the one that says his Mum will live with them immediately after the wedding?”
@Talk2veee: “Such marriages are void of chaos The man will have BP because he’s trying not to hurt his wife or offend his family Better you stay in a self con, than live in family houses. Sister in law vs wife today, mother-in-law vs wife tomorrow Familiarity breeds contempt … !”
@Harry potter: “What if she pressured u to get a house, and u finally get a 2 bedroom flat ,den she comes with another excuse that u don’t earn much to start a family and she wants to also have a stable business for herself too before she gets married?”
Lady discovers dad isn’t her biological father after stranger texts her to get DNA test
Meanwhile, a lady identified as Lane has given a detailed account of how she got to know the man she had known as a father was not her biological dad.
In a series of posts on Tiktok, the lady with handle @laneiscool14 said a stranger texted her in January and told her to get a DNA test from Ancestry, claiming she had a family she wasn’t aware of.
When she became more uncomfortable with the revelation, @laneiscool14 said she was forced to push the question over her paternity to her mum who admitted that she had a ‘one-time’ affair with another man.
