A very determined young Lady emerged as the best graduating student of Law, after having to resit WAEC (West African Examinations Council).

The lady named Naziha Amin Gombillah has become an inspiration to many after narrating her struggles with gaining admission into the university.

After secondary school, she sat for WAEC and failed. She had to resit the examination the following year, delaying her academic progress by a year.

She expressed that not only was it difficult to gain admission, but she also struggled with courses while in school.

“Giving up never crossed my mind.” She said, ” I had started it, so I had to complete it. I had to make my parents proud.” 

Hard Work pays 

Her determination to succeed paid off as she has graduated with a law degree scoring an outstanding 3.74-grade point out of a possible 4.00.

Now, she aspires to be an International Energy Law expert, a lecturer and a guru in the fashion industry.

She stated that what seemed like a setback for her a few years ago was actually the beginning of multiple opportunities for her.

Meanwhile, Maryam Sani Maigana, a student from Borno State, has made history in the Geology department at the University of Maiduguri (UniMAID) by graduating with a first-class degree. 

This exceptional academic achievement is a remarkable feat that has earned her recognition and commendation from the university community.

The 23-year-old Maryam’s excellent academic performance earned her three prestigious scholarships to study at any university in Saudi Arabia.
