CEO of Mavin Records, Micheal Collins Ajereh popularly known as Don Jazzy has advised upcoming artists and singers as he explained that marketing is very important.
The record producer took to Twitter to explain that irrespective of a singer’s popularity a musician need to market his music properly so he can achieve his set goals.
Don Jazzy used Davido’s album as a case study when he explained that despite the love the sensational singer has from everywhere around the world, he still sold his music properly without banking on his fame.

Davido released his album Timeless on March 31, 2023, and ever since then, people have been streaming nonstop to listen to the songs of the sensational singer. As a matter of fact, most songs in the album top charts for days, one of the songs, ‘Kante’ found its way to the top 10 hot trending songs on Billboard.
In reaction to the success of his album, Don Jazzy urged upcoming artists and musicians to always market their music properly just like Davido did.
“Dear artists hope you can see how Davido is marketing his album. He didn’t form oh I’m OBO so everybody will cop my shit. Marketting your beautiful project that you worked hard on does not reduce your swag,” he said.

It’s not a masterpiece: Daniel Regha rates Davido’s new album
In another news, a popular Nigerian social influencer, Daniel Regha, made known his personal rating of the new album by award-winning musician David Adeleke, known as David’s album.
He rated the album 3/10 and explained that the album should be like a tribute to the late son of Davido, Ifeanyi.
According to him, the album was not emotional enough and did not give him the vibes he expected from it because he was expecting him to talk about his child who he lost.
