Netflix has just dropped the trailer for Kunle Afolayan’s latest movie, ‘Ijogbon.’ It’s his first big film since ‘Anikulapo.’
The film tells the story of four teenagers from a rural village in South-West Nigeria who stumble upon a bag of diamonds. Chaos ensues when the diamond owners come looking for their treasure, and the teenagers must navigate a lot of trouble to save one of their friends.
‘Ijogbon’ is a coming-of-age adventure shot at Kunle Afolayan’s Film Village and Resort. It stars Ruby Akubueze, Kayode Ojuolape, Fawaz from Ikorodu Boiz, and Oluwaseyi Ebiesuwa as the four friends.

The cast also includes Gabriel Afolayan, Adunni Ade, Manuel Bimbo, Yemi Solade, Sam Dede, Gregory Ojefua, Saeed Mallam, Femi Branch, Femi Adebayo Salami, and Dorathy Bachor.
Written by Tunde Babalola, ‘Ijogbon’ is one of seven movies announced by Netflix in August 2023. It’s set to premiere on October 13, 2023, and fans are eagerly awaiting what this award-winning filmmaker has in store.
