Popular Nigerian singer, Azeez Adeshina aka Naira Marley, has declared his support for the fight against illicit drug abuse in the country.
He paid a visit on Thursday to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) headquarters, where he declared his support.
He also met with the chairman, Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (Retd).

Naira Marley urged youths in Nigeria to join the campaign and give up drug abuse.
He said in a video, “I’ll like to urge my fans, the Marlians, and all the Nigerian youths to stop doing drugs because it’s not good for your wellbeing.
“Let’s all stop substance abuse in any form. I’ve keyed in to this campaign to support NDLEA to stop drugs on the street.
“Please join us. It’s really not good, it makes you go back into crime. It does a lot of things to you.”
Recall that in May 2019, the singer was arrested by EFCC for an alleged case of internet fraud and money laundering.

Residents angry as NDLEA operatives shoot two dead during raid in Lagos
In other news, the National Drug Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) operatives has allegedly shot two people dead in Idioro area of Mushin, Lagos State.
The NDLEA apparently stormed the streets at around 10 pm for a search to raid a drug chain but started shooting in order to scare off the hoodlums, Punch reported.
However, in a bid to achieve their aims and apprehend people abusing drugs, stray bullets that were fired by the operative killed two persons including a young man, Gafar Yusuf.
