“My song was everywhere”: Iyanya says he should be on the same level with Wizkid & Davido

Iyanya Onoyom Mbuk, a Nigerian singer and songwriter well recognized as Iyanya, has shaken the internet following his statement.

A Twitter user, @davidchibuike_ shared his sentiment that if Davido, Burna Boy, and Wizkid were praised, Iyanya should not be forgotten and should be given his own share of acknowledgment.

“When we mention the Old cats like Olamide, Davido, and Wizkid, Iyanya should be mentioned too He dropped two hit songs in 2011, kukere and your waist and he has been consistent since then. His new ep drops this night;” he said.

Iyanya who just dropped his new EP, ‘Love and Trust’ quoted the fan’s words and said ‘well’, conveying that he agrees with his words.

Another avid fan made comments about the singer and said, “Shout out to Iyanya he really took Afrobeats to the world. Kukere was a huge song globally! As big as skelewu, (pls correct me gently if I’m wrong) but the impact can not be erased by even banter.”

Responding to his words, the ‘Kukure’ crooner said, “They don’t know. Zero internet penetration and our songs were everywhere. They can o my tweet according to the information they have. Let’s count Hits for Hits and tell me how many go fit match. INFORMATION KEEPS YOU IN FORMATION. I have done it before, still doing it and will do it bigger again, we pray to God for LIFE.”

Jealous boyfriend calls out Iyanya for trying to steal his babe 

In other news, a Nigerian man has called out famous Nigerian musician Iyanya for making an attempt to steal his babe. 

Iyanya, who had previously announced his search for a beautiful lady who caught his attention during Davido’s concerts, is obviously in for a fight with the lady’s boyfriend. 

The musician later posted a photo of the lady, confirming that he had found her. However, it was discovered that the lady was actually at the concert with her boyfriend.
