An impoverished woman has cried out after nothing changed in her life despite paying a pastor N45k for miracle prayers.
The mother of 4, identified as Evarline Okello from Kibera, was frustrated because of the difficulties she was facing in her life.
She narrated her sad story to BBC, describing how she was deceived by the so-called powerful man of God who assured her of a breakthrough.
Living in a shack in the slum areas of Nairobi, combined with the hunger her children experienced, the woman certainly wanted a way out of that life.
Evarline was made to believe that her financial problems would disappear within weeks if she brought the sum of N54,000 for the prayer.
Miracle prayer fails after paying N54k
Desperate for a better life for her and her children, she got the money from her friend who borrowed it on her behalf.
Weeks have passed, and there has been no germination of the seed sown. Things are still as difficult as they were.
Infact, Evarline is in much more debt as the loan due to non payment has increased from 47k to 137k.
There’s also been a strain in the relationship between her and her friend who got the loan on her behalf as they are not talking anymore.
“I have no idea how I’ll pay the money back and my friend stopped talking to me. Things have become so difficult I have lost all hope,” she lamented.
Evarline believes she has been scammed by the fake pastor, as her life didn’t get better, rather she is in a worse state than before she met this so-called pastor.
