Musk Opens War Against Journalists, Draws the First Blood

Elon Musk, the world’s richest billionairre who is also the owner of Twitter has shut down Twitter spaces after an altercation with some journalists who challenged him.

Twitter spaces is a live audio service that has been used by organizations mostly journalists to engage with members on trending topics.

The Twitter owner had announced that his company was fixing an “old bug” on Thursday. He stated that the audio service would be back the next day.

It will be recalled that the billionaire had earlier suspended reporters from CNN, the Washington Post and the New York times among others for disclosing the location of his jet. The suspension, he said, will be effective for a week.

It had been noticed that other reporters who criticized Musk for his strict punishment on the journalists were also eventually suspended.

Two of those reporters are Katie Notopoulous of BuzzFeed News and Drew Harwell of Washington Post.

According to Daily trust, their tweets have been deleted and they were not allowed to post new ones.

Interestingly, while the session was going on, Musk joined it and made a few comments. He stated that anyone who leaks his location would be suspended.

The journalists responded that they had not leaked Musk’s location as alleged. They also asked for proof that the information was released by them but then Musk disappeared from the session.

It will be recalled that the session was not allowed to end before they were suspended by the billionaire.
