Lionel Messi, the Argentine star, has surpassed Cristiano Ronaldo, the Al Nassr striker, to become the footballer with the most Guinness World Records. 

The official Twitter handle of Guinness World Records shared the updated chart of “Most Guinness World Records Titles Achieved By Footballers” on Tuesday, revealing that Messi now holds an impressive 41 records, edging ahead of Ronaldo, who has 40 records to his name.

This groundbreaking feat solidifies Messi’s status as a football legend, and his dominance in the record books is undeniable.

Football stars on the chart 

Following him in the updated list are other prominent players like Robert Lewandowski with nine records, Kylian Mbappe with five, and Neymar with four..

GWR took to Twitter to acknowledge the milestone, stating, “For now, Messi is clear of Ronaldo. Lionel Messi has 41 @GWR titles, whereas Cristiano Ronaldo has 40.”

In another news, During Al-Nassr’s pre-season tour, Cristiano Ronaldo addressed the media and discussed various topics. 

He said that  that the Saudi Pro League surpasses the MLS, which comes shortly after Lionel Messi’s introduction as a player for Inter Miami in the MLS.

Messi made the decision to decline contract extensions with PSG and a potential return to Barcelona.
