World Cup winner Lionel Messi has received a message of threat note from gunmen who struck a supermarket at Rosario in Argentina on Thursday.
The supermarket which is named ‘Unico’ is owned by Messi’s wife Antonella Roccuzzo. It is a large food store with numerous customers.
During the store attack, 14 shots were said to be fired by eyewitness and Police were immediately invited to the scene.
The criminals who attacked the store also left a message for the PSG forward, “Messi, we are waiting for you. Javkin is a drug dealer. He is not going to look after you,” the note read.
The Javkin referred to here is the Mayor of Rosario whose full name is Pablo Javkin who addressed the public after the incident. He said violence is becoming rife hence there is need for more policemen.
One of the largest city in Argentina, Rosario is 186 miles north of Buenos Aires.
