The Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria has said Ukraine’s medical programme is a fraud.
This followed the war that broke out between Russia and Ukraine which culminated in the evacuation of Nigerians, especially students.
This was made known by the Registrar of the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN), Dr Tajudeen Sanusi, said Ukraine set up their programme due to the desire for medical education by students from developing English-speaking countries.
It was gathered that Nigerian students desirous of studying medicine abroad believe Ukraine is quite good.
Sanusi said:”They (Ukraine) don’t train them using patients. They train them using mannequins only. They don’t even see or touch patients and they are coming here to talk rubbish.”
