She explained that it was a norm for her father to gift his children money whenever they achieved a milestone like a wedding, or had a child.
She didn’t think he needed to know
Her husband was fully aware of this practice although he didn’t know the exact amount she was given.
This gift money was then invested, and over time, the total return was 35 million Naira. During this while, she honestly forgot to mention it, and didn’t think he really needed to know either.
She went on to narrate how the money was eventually discovered by her husband while he was recharging his credit line.
The woman shared that her husband felt so much disappointment because he was very open to her about his own finances.
He was particularly upset because she did not offer to help with their dream apartment which was above his budget but allowed them settle for another instead.
