Erik ten Hag, the manager of Manchester United, might have to do without his goalkeeper, Andre Onana, for up to seven upcoming matches next year.
This situation arises because Cameroon secured their place in the Africa Cup of Nations by defeating Burundi 3-0.
Onana, who recently returned to the national team, is now expected to participate in the AFCON, which takes place from January 13 to February 11.

Onana might miss seven matches
If Cameroon goes far in the tournament, Onana could miss four Premier League matches against Tottenham, Wolves, West Ham, and Aston Villa.
Additionally, he might not be available for the Carabao Cup semi-finals and the FA Cup fourth round if Manchester United progresses that far
The first Champions League last-16 matches are also scheduled shortly after the AFCON final, posing a challenge for Onana’s return to England if Cameroon advances and United reaches the knockout stages.
