The management of Quits Aviation has vehemently denied allegations of tampering with the Bombardier Challenger 605 aircraft, registration marks 5N-ATA, belonging to Dr. Deji Adeleke, the elder brother of Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke.

The aviation company has refuted these claims, asserting that the aircraft was under 24-hour security surveillance, and the CCTV footage revealed no evidence of tampering as insinuated.

This clarification comes in response to earlier reports indicating that Governor Adeleke was scheduled to fly from Lagos to Abuja on his brother’s private jet.

The CCTV footage has shown no record of tampering

However, the pilot had to cancel the flight after detecting an issue with the aircraft’s engine.

Contrary to some reports of an engine explosion, Governor Adeleke’s spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, stated that a loud noise was heard after the aircraft had taxied on the tarmac.

Quits Aviation, a reputable aviation entity with 12 years of experience in Aircraft Management, Aircraft Maintenance, Operations, and Handling services, has released an official statement addressing the incident.

The company emphasizes its role in providing secured parking space for the aircraft and clarifies that it is the owner/operator’s responsibility to handle technical parking procedures as per the Aircraft Maintenance Manuals.

The aircraft was towed from its parked position

The statement further elaborates on the timeline of events on the day of the flight, highlighting that the aircraft had been towed from its parked position for flight preparation.

It confirms that the aircraft had been parked without engine cover protection and states that, apart from the towing movement, there was no interference with the aircraft’s airframe or engines.

Quits Aviation regrets the incident

Quits Aviation expresses regret over the incident and assures its full cooperation with relevant stakeholders and authorities conducting investigations into the matter.

In the interest of safety, the company recommends strict compliance with Aircraft Maintenance Manual Procedures, emphasizing the need to cover open orifices and engines to prevent Foreign Object Damage or infestation.
