The distraught woman was a friend of Nana Afriyie, a Ghanaian who posted the tale on Facebook.
He said the pastor told him to dump his long-standing fiancée and pick another woman from his church, which is what he did.
He already wanted to end things
Social media users’ reactions to the revelation, however, were conflicted. While some praised the man for doing the right thing by listening to his pastor, others criticized and branded him as foolish.
Kelvin Osei said: “Please if the lady has written IELTS, i will sponsor her, so that we also travel outside.”
Manu Enoch wrote: “I wonder why some of us never met such generous ladies. Like the way I go worship her err.”
Myz Portabella commented: “It might interest you to know that, if God helps this lady to move on without anything happening to her, I’m not cursing but nothing will work for this guy.”
Florence Okprampah added: “Tell her to move on. God will not shame her but I can give her direction to my grandfather’s hometown norgopo.”
