Nigerians are buzzing on Twitter with reactions to Kenyan chef Maliha Mohammed allegedly breaking Hilda Bacci’s cook-a-thon record.
It was falsely reported that Chef Maliha Mohammed surpassed Nigerian chef, Hilda Baci’s record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual.
However, Chef Mohammed’s record was for the “longest home kitchen cooking marathon.”

She began her cook-a-thon on August 11, cooking for a duration of 95 hours 15 minutes.
Guinness World Record (GWR) is, however, yet to confirm her record.
With 93 hours and 11 minutes, Hilda Baci still holds the record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual.
Guinness World Records confirmed this on June 13.

Guinness World Record confirms Hilda Baci for Longest Cooking Marathon (Individual)
Meanwhile, Guinness World Records (GWR) has officially recognized Nigerian chef Hilda Bassey, also known as Hilda Baci, for achieving the longest cooking marathon by an individual.
After conducting a comprehensive assessment of the evidence, GWR has confirmed that Hilda Baci set a new record with an impressive time of 93 hours and 11 minutes.
The statement announcing this achievement was released by GWR on Tuesday, approximately one month after Hilda Baci’s remarkable cooking feat.
