Manchester City had agreed to a deal with Al-Nassr for Spanish defender Aymeric Laporte.
Laporte, who is 29 years old, played in 43 games during the 2021-22 season. However, the coach, Pep Guardiola, used other players like Manuel Akanji and Nathan Ake more often last season.
A 3-year contract is on the table from Saudi Arabia with a salary of €13.7M/year.

Laporte will join Ronaldo and Mane
Laporte might go play with well-known players such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Sadio Mane, Marcelo Brozovic, and Alex Telles at Al-Nassr.
Laporte came to City in 2018 from Athletic Bilbao. He cost £57 million, which was a lot and a record for the club at that time.

Laporte’s talent helped City become Premier League champions five times in the last six seasons.
In the 2018-19 season, Laporte played in 51 matches. In the 2021-22 season, he played in 44 matches.
Laporte played a total of 180 games for City and scored 12 goals. He also played 22 times for the Spain national team. In June, he helped Spain win the Uefa Nations League.
