A female lawyer, Adwoa Osafredu Asubonteng, made a tweet educating tenants on their rights as a citizen. According to her, no landlord can send his tenants out of the house without a quit notice.
In her tweet, she informed tenants that this quit notice must also be from a law chamber with at least a six months period.
She also stated that during the six months period that you would be staying in the house, you don’t need to pay house rent to your landlord.

You can sue your landlord
She also said that if your landlord failed to comply with the tenant’s right, you have the right as a citizen to sue him to court.
She specifically wrote:
“Before your landlord can send you out of his house. He must serve you a Quit Notice from a Law Chamber with at least 6 months period for you to be able to rent another house and you will not pay rent again within that;6 month. Now you know…if your landlord does otherwise, feel”
Reactions: Don’t mislead people ooo
Some people did not agree with her claim while others were happy that they were educated and complained about their landlords
