Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has instructed the state Police Command, in collaboration with the Department of State Service (DSS), to conduct a comprehensive inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the death of music sensation Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, known as MohBad, to ensure justice is served.
This directive comes as concerned residents, especially young people, prepare to stage a statewide protest to draw the attention of relevant authorities to the need for justice for the grieving family and the late artist.
The Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, conveyed the governor’s directive on Tuesday.

Governor Sanwo Olu sends his condolences
Governor Sanwo-Olu expressed his condolences to the family, friends, fans, and residents over the tragic and mysterious death of the promising music star.
In his statement, Governor Sanwo-Olu said, “The Lagos State Government has taken note of the developments following the demise of music star Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, known as MohBad. We extend our deepest sympathies to his family and fans. We share the sorrow of losing such a talented young man who made a name for himself in a highly competitive industry. May his soul rest in peace, and may his family and fans find comfort.”
Governors order DSS to start investigation
Following the governor’s directive, the Lagos State Police have initiated a significant investigation into the circumstances surrounding the young artist’s death. A 19-member police panel has been assembled to unravel the mystery surrounding his demise.
To enhance the investigation, Governor Sanwo-Olu has invited the Department of State Services (DSS) to join in the inquiry, leveraging inter-agency collaboration and advanced technology to uncover the truth.
Governor Sanwo-Olu has directed that anyone found to have played a role in any event leading to MohBad’s death be held accountable under the law following a thorough investigation.
As a result, the Department of State Services (DSS) has also joined the investigation to ensure justice for the young artist, his family, and his numerous fans.

In another news, Lagos State Police has commenced full investigation into the death of popular artiste, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji aka Mohbad.
The tragic passing of the 27-year-old captured public attention, with demands for the swift arrest of the culprits.
In a statement on Saturday, the police spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin, revealed that the Commissioner of Police has ordered a comprehensive criminal investigation into the matter.
