Lagos State closes churches, mosques, others due to noise pollution

The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) has sealed up some establishments due to noise pollution.

Those affected include churches, mosques, hotels, bars and an eatery in the Alimosho area of the state.

This is not the first time the state has taken action to address noise disturbance by sealing off various establishments in different areas of the state.

The agency disclosed the development via its X handle.

It wrote, “LASEPA took strong action against noise pollution and other environmental infractions by sealing off several establishments such as religious centers, hotels, an eatery, and a bar in Alimosho today.

“The affected establishments include His Glory Cloud Church, Sure Word and Power Bible Church, Soliheena Central Mosque, Mountain of Power Deliverance, Cherubim & Seraphim Church, Iberuoluwa Mosque, Chirozz Hotel, Mayoral Hotel, West End Lounge & Bar, The Establishment Hotel, and Ayoola Foods.

“These measures were put in place to address the identified instances of noise pollution and other environmental transgressions.”
