The Lagos State Government has sealed Havilah Events Centre on Victoria Island for hosting a party during which litres of premium motor spirit (Petrol) in jerry cans were distributed as souvenirs.
The Lagos State Safety Commission and the Lagos State Police Command’s Rapid Response Squad (RRS) collaborated on the enforcement.
Two centre officials were arrested today, and Lagos Commissioner of Police, Abiodun Alabi, has ordered that all those involved be arrested.
The arrest was made in response to the Lagos State Government’s directive that the centre be sealed and all parties involved arrested.
