Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, visited the site of the helicopter crash in the state after returning from a trip to the Benin Republic with President Bola Tinubu.
He expressed his appreciation to the residents who participated in the rescue operation.
The crash involved a single-engine fixed-wing Jabiru aircraft with registration number 5NCCQ and occurred at Oba Akran Avenue in Ikeja.

Sanwo Olu said via his Twitter page that both passengers were safely rescued and receiving medical attention.
The Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau (NSIB) has already begun its investigation into the incident.
The governor also commended the Lagos State Emergency Management services and the neighbourhood residents for their efforts in clearing the debris and securing the crash site.
All wreckage will be officially transported and handed over to the Nigerian Aviation Authority for further investigation.

In another news, The Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau has launched an investigation into the aircraft which crashed on Tuesday at Ikeja, Lagos State.
“The Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau (NSIB) has been notified and commenced investigation into an accident involving a Jabiru J430, a light single airplane with Nationality And Registration Marks 5N-CCQ operated by Air First Hospitality & Tours, which occurred around a little after 1500hrs local time on August 1, 2023.
“The aircraft was on a test flight within Lagos with two passengers onboard, before it crashed around Oba Akran area of Lagos State with no fatalities.
