Lagos CP warns officers on unethical practices

The newly-deployed Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, CP Abiodun Alabi, has charged officers of the command to be professional in their conduct.

He warned them against smearing his hard-earned reputation by their unethical conducts.

This was contained in a statement released by the Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Adekunle Ajisebutu on Wednesday.

The Commissioner of Police gave the warning while addressing Heads of Departments and Sectional Heads in the Department of Finance and Administration (DFA) at the Command Headquarters in Ikeja.

The CP further warned Heads of Investigation Sections against detention of suspects in their custody, noting that they must dispense with criminal cases swiftly.

Alabi also urged administrative office personnel and others on effective information management. He also told them to be guided by the oath of secrecy when handling official correspondence and other matters.

He advised personnel to work in unity and harmony.
