Lady Explains Why She Can’t Be Friends With Women Who Grew Up In Nigeria

Stephanie Coker, a Nigerian on-air personality and television presenter has explained why she finds it hard to be friends with a specific kind of Nigerian woman.

The television presenter for MTV Base Africa said that she cannot be friends with women who were born and also grew up largely in Nigeria.

Coker also said she had noticed that the mindset of such Nigerian women is usually different from hers.

The 34-year old who featured as Feke in Nigerian TV series Tinsel said that Nigerian women are snobbish and greet only men in a gathering of both genders.

“I find it hard to make friends with women that lived and spent their whole life in Nigeria. I feel like their mindset is very different,

“For example, when you are out and you are on a table and if a girl who has never left Nigeria comes to the table, she will greet all the guys and not greet the woman. They ignore and act like they can’t see you,” she said.

Also, Stephanie observed that those women act shocked when they are greeted. She wonders aloud why those Nigerian women ignored her and greeted only the men at the table.

One twitter user (@iamdirebella) reacted to Stephanie Coker’s comments:

“Everything Stephanie Cooker said is so 101% true like yeah Nigerian babes especially those one that form to be outcast.”

Another twitter user (@Rubiks6) also reacted:

“What Stephanie Cooker said about a person walking up to a group of people and just greeting a few while ignoring the rest, is true and tbh, both men and women are guilty of it. What I don’t understand is the correlation between that rude mess and growing up in Nigeria.”

Aduke (@ayobamii_s) said:

“The babes are eating up Stephanie Coker and rightly so tbh cause she is always opening her mouth to say nonsense.”

Stephanie Coker left Nigeria at the age of 1 and had spent many years at North London in United Kingdom.
