Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf has announced Wednesday, October 4, 2023, as a public holiday in honour of the birth of Prophet Muhammad.
The declaration was made by the State Commissioner for Information and Internal Affairs, Malam Baba Dantiye, in a statement released in Kano.
Governor Yusuf called upon the people to utilize this occasion to contemplate the teachings of the noble Prophet and incorporate them into their daily lives.

We pray to Allah to see us through
He emphasized the importance of reflecting upon the Prophet’s principles and applying them in their day-to-day affairs.
Furthermore, the commissioner urged the residents of Kano to offer prayers for enduring peace and prosperity in both the state and Nigeria at large.
He expressed optimism that Allah would guide the country through challenging times and grant a bountiful harvest in the forthcoming rainy and dry farming seasons.
