People with disabilities are carried along

Doguwa stated this in response to comments made by Mercy Corps and the Coalition of Disabled Self Advocacy Network Group, two non-governmental organizations who recently visited him.

“This is to make sure that people with disabilities are carried along in our development plans.” He said

He also explained that, as part of its commitment to assisting PWDs, the state government recently sent 150 NECO examination registration forms to them, and asked recipients to take advantage of the chance to build a better life for themselves.

The Commissioner said that the state government will not quit in its efforts to collaborate with non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to promote people’s well-being, encouraging development partners to input administration’s policies and programs to achieve long-term success.
