President Bola Tinubu returned to Lagos on Tuesday evening after his visit to London, in time for the upcoming Eid-el-Kabir celebrations on Wednesday.
At 5:05 pm local time, Tinubu’s Gulfstream jet landed at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Ikeja, where he was warmly welcomed by a crowd of supporters eagerly waiting for his arrival.
This marks the end of his one-week trip, which included attending a summit in Paris hosted by French President Emmanuel Macron, called “A New Global Financing Pact,” followed by a private visit to London.
Earlier on Saturday, the Presidency had announced thaTinubu had decided to cancel his planned return to Abuja that day.
President Bola Tinubu concluded his attendance at the two-day summit and subsequently traveled to London, United Kingdom, for a “brief private visit,” as announced by his spokesperson, Dele Alake, in a statement last Saturday.
The statement also indicated that Tinubu is expected to return to Nigeria in time to participate in the Eid-el-Kabir festivities scheduled for June 28 and 29, 2023.
