Against all odds, three brilliant Nigerian teenagers have made their ways to the prestigious Guinness World Records.
The trio of Chukwuebuka Ezugha, Victor Richard Kipo and Vincent Okezie was recognised by the Dubai-based world record-keeping organisation for “most consecutive passes of a football between the head and soles while balancing on the back of a person.”
Sharing the video on its verified Instagram account on Thursday, December 22, GWR said Chukwuebuka, Victor and Vincent completed “129 most consecutive passes of a football.” The feat has not been achieved by anyone or any group in the past.
“Most consecutive passes of a football between the head and soles while balancing on the back of a person ⚽️129 by Chukwuebuka Ezugha, Victor Richard Kipo and Vincent Okezie,” GWR said.
The trio was not the first Nigerians to be recognised by the Duba-based organisation. In 2019, Guinness recognised Chinonso “amazing kid” Eche, a football prodigy from Delta state for “most consecutive football (soccer) touches in one minute while balancing a football on the head.”
Three years later, Chinonso made it to the GWR again with three records:
- Fastest time to 1,000 football touches while balancing a ball on the head: 7 min 46 sec
- Most football headers in a prone position in one minute: 233
- Most football touches in a seated position while balancing a ball on the head in one minute: 197
