Japan vs Germany
Group E saw Japan record another shocking victory at the tournament after a come-from-behind win against Germany.
The former world champions got their noses in front from a spot-kick calmly finished by Man City star Ilkay Gundogan.
After several missed chances, Germany were made to pay dearly as they conceded two goals within the space of 15 minutes.
Substitutes Ritsu Doan and Takuma Asano were the heroes for the Asian side as Japan won 2-1.
Spain vs Costa Rica
Luis Enrique’s side ran ragged of their opponents scoring seven unrreplied goals.
Dani Olmo, Marco Asensio and Ferran Torres were all on target in the first half.
Torres added another to his tally before Gavi, Carlos Soler and Alvaro Morata completed the onslaught as it ended 7-0.
Morocco vs Croatia
2018 finalist Croatia were unable to breakthrough Morocco’s defence in the entire 90 minutes of the game.
The North Africans also had their moments in the game but could.not convert as it finished 0-0.
Belgium vs Canada
Canada failed to score their first ever Works Cup goal from a penalty as their star man Alphonse Davies was denied by Thibaut Courtois.
They were made to pay dearly on as Mitchy Batshuayi scored the only goal of the game as Belgium won by 1-0.
