Jagaban Army, Young Statesmen: Reactions Trail APC “Controversial” List

A Twitter user who simply identified himself as Monarch Chuks has taken to social media to reflect on the new All Progressive Congress (APC) list that is currently being widely shared in various platforms.

The two lists showed different names of young Nigerians who are supporters of the APC.

One of the lists has a comprehensive names of some of the children of Nigerian political leaders and the other has names that are unfamiliar.

On the list that has the name of the political class, the title indicates that they were “Young Statesmen” while on the other list, the heading indicates that they are “Jagaban Army”.

Monarch Chuks had reacted to this list as well as other Netizens who did not find it appealing.

Chuks said: “If your father’s name is relevant, you join the young statesman, but if not, you’re a jagaban army. Suffer never tire you?”

Other reactions from social media on the two lists

Chioma Patric reacted: “APC will never be fair to you.Their children are named “young statesmen”, then there is “Jagaban Army” for the rest of you.People like Qudus AKA Akanbi are referred to as “Jagaban Miscreants”. Eru!!”

Isoko Tolapia wrote: “APC is such a party. Even in their campaign structure, they segregated the children of the rich as YOUNG STATEMEN, While the children of the nobodies were recruited as JAGABAN ARMY. Twitter e-rat like some here belong to the Jagaban Army.”
