Popular Afrobeat sensation, Tiwatope Omolara aka Tiwa Savage has revealed that she has been fighting off a virus for the past few weeks.
The singer, who was supposed to perform in London, expressed deep sadness as she was put on a strict vocal rest due to the virus.
She disclosed this in a statement released on Tuesday, October 17th.

It read, “To my dear Savage Soldiers, I’ve been fighting off a virus for the past few weeks and was today firmly instructed to be on strict vocal rest for the next few months.
“I will unfortunately have to postpone all performances including my first ever headline arena show in London.
“I’m heartbroken and devastated but I have to do this to save what’s left of my voice.
“I’m so sorry. I love you all and promise to be back performing once I’m fully healed.”
Fans have shared their well wishes to Tiwa Savage during this challenging time.
The “Somebody’s son” crooner was last seen at Wizkid’s mother’s funeral party last week.

In other news, Tiwa Savage has been selected to perform at the coronation of King Charles III, the monarch of the United Kingdom.
The historic event is set to take place on May 6, 2023, at Westminster Abbey in London.The coronation marks the official ascension of King Charles III and his consort, Queen Consort Camilla, following the passing of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II.
Tiwa Savage will join international celebrities, including Steve Winwood, DJ Pete Tong, Lang Lang, Lucy, Paloma Faith, and Olly Murs, to entertain guests at the coronation concert and Big Lunch on May 7, 2023.
