According to reports coming from Kwara, three suspected kidnappers in Kwara State were killed by a thunder strike in the Oro Ago community of Ifelodun local government area.
A viral video of the incident shows the burnt bodies of the victims and flies hovering over them.
In the video, a voice representing the vigilance team in Igbomina Kwara claims responsibility for the strike, stating that their efforts against criminals and kidnappers in the area have been successful.

It is God that did it
The voice expresses gratitude to God and vows to continue overcoming evil through divine intervention.
Another video clip showed Fulani herders who are believed to be relatives of the victims. They attribute the incident to an act of God, acknowledging that lightning is a force beyond human control and questioning its origin.
The state Police Commissioner, Ebunoluwarotimi Adelesi, has commented on the incident and stated that the police force has begun investigating the matter.
The commissioner emphasized the importance of conducting a thorough investigation to determine the accuracy of the incident.
The Iwo community has taken steps to address crime in the area by constructing and donating a Divisional Police Station, a Hilux patrol van, and three motorcycles to the Nigeria Police.
The donation was made through the acting Inspector General (IG), Kayode Egbetokun, as part of efforts to combat crime and maintain security in the community.
