In a controversial tweet, a Nigerian man has hailed Igbo for their selfless service in the country as he claims that Igbo people are making us proud in Nigeria.
According to the young man’s perspective, the Yoruba people are not making significant contributions to the development of the nation. Instead, they engage in fraudulent behaviours.
Provill’s tweet included an accusation that the Yoruba tribe is widely associated with corruption, but he did not provide an explanation or criteria for his position.
Nigerians drag him
The tweet has generated a lot of contentious responses, with online users criticizing him for making such an absurd remark on social media.
Several other social media users, who appeared to be of Yoruba descent, made contentious remarks about the Igbo tribe, stating that they are primarily associated with making fast money through ritualistic means of which @provill initially made the statement while replying to a comment under his tweet.
Upon closer examination, it seems that the individual who posted the tweet under the handle @provii is of Yoruba origin but may have only intended to provoke reactions from other online users.
