Daniel Bwala, an aide to presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar, has cautioned Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), about potential consequences if he proceeds with his plan to demolish unauthorized structures in the FCT.
The warning came amidst growing concerns that the demolition might lead to unintended outcomes.
Wike, who recently took office, expressed his determination to remove unlawfully constructed buildings in the nation’s capital.

Wike is preserving the city’s master plan
He stressed that regardless of the owner’s status, if a structure was illegally built, it would be torn down, and he emphasized the importance of preserving the city’s master plan and green spaces.
Responding to this stance, Bwala took to Twitter to address Wike directly. He reminded the minister of the key needs of FCT residents, including accessible healthcare, quality education, recreational facilities, reliable transportation, efficient lighting, and security.
Bwala advised Wike to approach his role with humility and cautioned against creating chaos in the city.
Bwala also warned that if Wike’s actions lead to disruptions in the city, his principal might be forced to sacrifice his position. The tweet suggested that Wike’s approach could jeopardize the interests of those he represents.
Reaction: Everything should not be about criticism
Netizens were still siding with wike, while some supported Bwala, here are some comments:

@woye1: Nothing will happen to Wike. Make sure you go to AGIS to regularize your papers. Wike is for equity, justice and fairness. You can’t speak for Abuja residents.
@bolument: You’re 100% on point sor
@Ajiyan_Gada: Wike is saying people who are distorting the master plan of Abuja, their houses will go down how can that be a vendetta? Unless you or your principal are culprits but there is no cause for any alarm ⏰🚨
