Popular Nigerian Afrobeat singer, David Adeleke professionally known as Davido has commented on why he didn’t sing a song about his late son, Ifeanyi in his latest album, ‘Timeless.’
Recall that Davido released his album, Timeless on the 31st of March, 2023, after taking a break from Ifeanyi’s death on the 31st of October, 2022
Well, in a press conference that was held on the 17th of April, 2023, a member of the press asked the 30-year-old musician why his album had no sad emotional song following the death of his son.

He argued that many people were expecting him to sing a song that talked about his loss but he didn’t even go there.
In response to his question, Davido mentioned that he has always been a happy person no matter what he’s going through and he never intended to put anything regarding his son in that album asserting that there’s a time for that but not in this album.
“There’s a potion but not too much emotion, if you listen to Davido music over the years, I’ve always been a happy person whether I’m going through something or I’m not, so that side of my life if I want to talk about it there’s time for that but on this album that’s not what I was going for”
