“If I want to talk about it, there’s time for that but not in this album”: Davido addresses why he sang no song about his late son, Ifeanyi

Popular Nigerian Afrobeat singer, David Adeleke professionally known as Davido has commented on why he didn’t sing a song about his late son, Ifeanyi in his latest album, ‘Timeless.’

Recall that Davido released his album, Timeless on the 31st of March, 2023, after taking a break from Ifeanyi’s death on the 31st of October, 2022

Well, in a press conference that was held on the 17th of April, 2023, a member of the press asked the 30-year-old musician why his album had no sad emotional song following the death of his son.

He argued that many people were expecting him to sing a song that talked about his loss but he didn’t even go there.

In response to his question, Davido mentioned that he has always been a happy person no matter what he’s going through and he never intended to put anything regarding his son in that album asserting that there’s a time for that but not in this album.

“There’s a potion but not too much emotion, if you listen to Davido music over the years, I’ve always been a happy person whether I’m going through something or I’m not, so that side of my life if I want to talk about it there’s time for that but on this album that’s not what I was going for”

Lady posts video of her son who resembles late Ifeanyi

In another news, a Nigerian lady posted a video on TikTok showing images of a little boy who looks like Davido’s late son, Ifeanyi.

@benardesther, who seems to have posted the photo of her son earlier, shared more photos in a video while replying to one of her followers, @nwansummercy, who requested more photos of her son

The video showed the little boy wearing different outfits, and of no doubt, the little boy, whose name wasn’t disclosed, looks exactly like the late Ifeanyi Adeleke
