A Nigerian student in the University of Benin, Edo state showed unbelievable talent when he was discovered to speak with a British accent.

The young man, identified as Aaron, acquired the accent despite not having traveled to or lived abroad.

In an interview on Instagram, when asked how he got to speak with a British accent, he said that he was born with it.

He added that his father,  who teaches spoken English, was his major influence and played a huge role in his speaking abilities.

Aaron also revealed that he watched BBC news often, and a lot of British shows too which enabled his incredulous feat despite being in Nigeria.

Aaron said he is open to the possibility of being a news reporter or journalist after graduation.

UNIBEN student with fluent British accent 

While some netizens believed and commended the student, others felt he acquired it through practice not from birth.

Meanwhile, a video of a Nigerian woman, Nifemi who corrected her husband’s English has left many in the social space cracking up.

In a TikTok video, the married woman was captured bashfully correcting her husband, Kehinde Odesola who had made a blunder while he was talking to her.

Apparently, Kehinde wanted to seek an opinion regarding a matter from his wife, however, he said “I want to seek your conscience”
