In response to a comment, Reno Omokri defends his democratic right to support Waziri Atiku Abubakar and reject Peter Obi, emphasizing that differing political preferences do not make him or anyone else evil or good.
Reno further explained that he privately told Peter Obi that his candidacy might weaken the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and accidentally benefit the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the elections.
He also stated the educational qualifications of the major presidential candidates, saying that Peter Obi’s second-class degree in Philosophy places him below others like Atiku with a Master’s in International Relations and Tinubu with a BSc in Accounting.

Reno praised Atiku for leading the National Economic Council to clear foreign debts and achieve a consistent 7% GDP growth rate.
He commended Tinubu’s contributions as Governor of Lagos, including infrastructure development, revenue generation, and mentoring future leaders.
On the other hand, Reno criticized Peter Obi for pointing to a brewery as his flagship achievement, which has been reported as a loss-making enterprise.
He saved the equivalent of $50 million of Anambra state money
While acknowledging Obi’s investment in existing schools, Reno points out that he did not construct any new schools during his tenure.
Reno also brought up an issue concerning a conflict of interest, alleging that Peter Obi saved around $50 million of Anambra state money in banks where he had personal interests, including Fidelity Bank, which he once chaired.
He claims that this money would have earned substantial yearly profits for Obi, and questions his financial gains during his time as Governor.

Don’t pressure Tinubu over fuel price: ‘Yoruba’ Reno urges Nigerians
In another story, popular social media influencer Reno Omokri urged Nigerians not to pressurize President Tinubu over the hike in fuel prices. He clearly stated that the President has no control over the price of petroleum products since the subsidy has been removed.
He stated that the burden of fuel price management should now rest on the shoulders of industry stakeholders, particularly the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), who are better positioned to deal with the dynamics of the petroleum market effectively.
Reno Omokri explained that Nigerians should rather mount pressure on the President on the minimum wage as he stated that the current minimum wage of ₦30,000 is grossly inadequate when compared to the current cost of living in Nigeria.
