Nigerian music star Tems, real name Temilade Openiyi, has opened up about her scary first time skydiving, calling it the “most dangerous thing” she’s ever done.
Tems said it was her uncle who convinced her and some cousins to go skydiving together. At first, she was excited by the idea of jumping out of a plane. But as they ascended high into the air, Tems said she quickly changed her mind.
“I was like, you people should leave me here! Just go without me!” she recalled begging her family while in the sky. But despite her pleas, she was pushed out against her will.

On the way down, the singer admitted thinking she was about to die. However, the thrill of the experience left a mark on Tems. While utterly terrifying in the moment, she now looks back on it as an exhilarating and unforgettable adventure.
In the end, she says confronting her fears gave her an adrenaline rush like no other. And given the chance, the star claims she just might skydive again someday soon. “It was so scary yet so fun,” Tems declared. “I could do it again!”
