Ejikeme Mmesoma, the Anambra pupil, has denied the allegations that she tampered with her 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) result.
The student, who attends Anglican Girls Secondary School in Nnewi, has been at the centre of a heated discussion surrounding her reported score of 362 in this year’s UTME.
On Sunday, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) refuted the claim that Mmesoma was the candidate with the highest score, revealing that she had actually obtained a score of 249 in the exam.

JAMB accused her of fraud
JAMB accused the student of manipulating her result to deceive the public and fraudulently secure a scholarship and other forms of recognition. The board has stated its intention to prosecute Mmesoma and others who are alleged to have manipulated their results.
However, in a video that has since gone viral, Mmesoma refuted the allegations, asserting that she had printed her result directly from the JAMB portal.

In another news, The recent issues with Ejikeme Mmesoma’s Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) result, which JAMB claims she frauded, have received a lot of mixed reactions from nigerians.
Dr Fabian Benjamin, JAMB’s head of public affairs and protocol, issued a statement on Sunday stating the board’s decision. The statement disclosed that Mmesoma, who had claimed to receive a score of 362 in the 2023 UTME, actually obtained a score of 249.
Innocent Chukwuma, the Chairman of Innoson Vehicles Manufacturing Company, had recently awarded Mmesoma an N3 million scholarship based on her faked score of 362 in the UTME.
