Nigeria’s music industry is currently taking the world by storm in what has been unprecedented in the history of African entertainment.
This is as the Morrocan players and staff were seen singing to Burna Boys’s recording-breaking global smash, Last Last, following their crucial win over Portugal.
Ikeja Bird recalls that the Atlas Lions became the first African country in history to reach the semi final of the World Cup after giving the Cristiano Ronaldo-led side a marching order with a 1-0 victory.
Heavily predicted as underdog in the tie, Morocco was bigger for the Portuguese at the Al Thumama stadium on Saturday, December 10.
Youssef En-Nesyri was the hero as the Sevilla striker slotted home a goal with a brilliant header in the first half to send Morroca into the history book.
The win means Morroco is the first African team, Arab and Muslim country to advance to the Semi final in a World Cup tourney.
Following the victory, some fans of Atlas Lion were seeing singing Last Last by ace singer, songwriter and music producer Damini Ogulu known as Burna Boy.
The song became the fastest Afrobeats song to be certified Gold in the USA, just 121 days after its release.
