An African school teacher in Vietnam has stated that bagging a first class as a student should not be a do or die affair.
The young man graduated from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana, 10 years ago.
He shared his life experience in a TikTok video, describing what he went through when he was hit with the news that he didn’t get a first class.

He further emphasized the fact that in all his job interviews, no one had asked him whether he had a first class or not.
From his video, the young man graduated with second class honours (Upper Division), he had a 3.57 out of a total of 4.0 GPA.
The death of his beloved friend who had first class during their time in school also made him think deeply about his actions
He has a master’s degree now
“I missed first class by 0.26 per cent, and I remember very well that when the gradualist list was released I lost appetite. I didn’t want to attend the graduation ceremony.”
“Today I tell my friends that the purpose of my first degree has been served. It was to get me a job and also to help me get into graduate school. Now I work as an international teacher, also I have one master’s degree, and I am studying for another. Today that first class that I was crying over is useless”
Netizens were joyed at his realization
