Pastor Jerry Eze, the organiser of the widely known New Season Prophetic Prayers (NSPPD) and the lead pastor of Streams of Joy International, recently opened up about his journey from a lucrative job at the United Nations (UN) to becoming a pastor.
During an interview with The Punch, Pastor Jerry Eze shared the reasons behind his decision, explaining that he believed it was his calling and he couldn’t ignore the divine directive.
“I realized that there could not be any higher calling than the call of God on one’s life. So, I came to the reality that purpose would always trump any human satisfaction at any time,I left my secular job to serve God, even though there was nothing exciting about it at the time. I was aware of the mandate I had to fulfill for the generation waiting to hear my voice,” Pastor Jerry Eze answered when asked What made me leave his lucrative job with the United Nations to become a pastor?

The work of God is more important than any job
Pastor Jerry Eze emphasised that following God’s purpose for his life was incredibly compelling. When he compared his personal desires to what God wanted him to do, he realized that fulfilling his destiny was far more significant.
When asked how he determined the right timing for such a significant decision, Pastor Jerry Eze responded, “Everything indicated that it was the right time. I started feeling discontented with my current situation, and the satisfaction I once had was no longer there.”
Through his ministry and leadership, Pastor Jerry Eze continues to inspire and impact lives, offering hope and spiritual guidance to those in search of it.
