In a recent incident shared by @orimimabayomije on X, formerly Twitter, she and her husband reportedly faced assault by the security guard at Rockview Hotel in Abuja.
This unfortunate incident occurred when they attempted to bring in food from outside, unaware of the hotel’s policy against it.
According to her, she and her husband was forced to bring food from outside due to the bad food served at the hotel.

She wrote, “When we lodged on Friday, there was no orientation whatsoever that they don’t allow external food.”
“We got to Rockview Hotel, security did protocol “did we know we weren’t supposed to bring in food from outside?”, we said we didn’t know, but after our ignorance, he insisted we can’t take the food in. We went to the reception to ask for the manager.
“We were there for over 10 minutes waiting for the manager, he didn’t show up.”
The security guard at the hotel not only refused to allow them to bring in their food, but also forcefully confiscated it, poured it out, and even threatened to harm her husband.
“Even after pouring our food away, this guy was telling my husband “don’t let me lay my hands on you”. I was actually very calm all along until he started to lie that he did touch the food. I went to meet him not to lie to my face, this dude legit pushed me to the ground. Fight started, he was punching my husband and giving me blow me like he was beating a guy. This dude dragged my hair so much two came off.”
After the incident, the manager arrived accompanied by an armed policeman and instructed them to return to their room. However, they were not provided with the name of the security guard. No resolution was reached as the hotel only offered her and her husband pastries as compensation.
Despite raising the issue on X, it seems that no action has been taken by the hotel.
