Hilda Baci, holder of the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking time has made headlines again after it was revealed that she was using her skills to raise funds for widows.
In a report that was made by Punch, Hilda Baci’s meals will be tasted by Joseph Edgar akaThe Duke of Shomolo, to assist widows and encourage them to be reliant on themselves.
Edgar, Chief Executive Officer of Duke of Shomolu Productions, a theatrical play-producing outfit, revealed this intention to NAN on Sunday.

“She will showcase her mesmerizing skills which enamored the world and saw her emerge as the Guinness record holder in a bid to raise N1 million for a widow,” he said.
According to him, the initiative has been going on for a while where 10 million naira has been raised to support deserving widows.
He added that only close friends and associates of the Duke with the Duke himself are present on the small occasion, where cash prizes are given instead of gifts.
Edgar explained that these cash prizes are added up and then sent to widows who have been nominated by the public.
He revealed that chef Hilda Baci would be cooking for 10 people at the Ivy Hotel at Emerald in Ikeja GRA, Lagos on July 14 and concluded that one million naira would be given to a widow of her choice.

In other news, Nigerian cinematographer, Esiaga took to the social space to express his appreciation to the renowned chef and holder of the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon (Individual), Hilda Baci.
Apparently, the young man had reported Hilda Baci’s cook-a-thon on TikTok without collecting a dime from anybody.
However, Hilda Baci was impressed at the fact that he put her out there and shared her story without charging her or collecting money from anyone.
