The cook-a-thon sensation, Hilda Baci finally received another reply from Guinness World Record.
It will be recalled that the phenomenal chef Hilda had done 100 hours of cooking in the month of May 2023.
She achieved this great feat by beating her original record of 92 hours and received massive support from hood Nigerians and major brands.

After several weeks of waiting and anticipating the final word from GWR, they finally released a statement on her feat.
Guinness World Records announced Hilda Baci as a record holder of the longest cooking marathon by an individual.
GWR however, did not award her for 100 hours of cooking like many had envisaged and they explained why.
A win is still a win!
Using its verified Twitter handle, GWR explained how they came to their conclusion about the cook-a-thon.
They stated that anyone attempting a marathon record receives a five minute break for every hour that they complete.
This break, they stated, was to allow suitable rest breaks for the participants, due to the prolonged nature of these records.
“In this case, there was a miscalculation when it came to Hilda’s rest breaks, meaning we are unable to award the 100 hours claimed” they reported.
In concluding, they stated that Hilda attempted to set a record of 100 hours, however, almost seven hours were deducted from her final total.
This was because she mistakenly took extra minutes for one of her rest breaks early on in the attempt.

Hilda Baci was finally recognized today by the Guinness World Record as the longest cooking time by an individual.
Eni, a die hard supporter of the record breaking chef poured his heart out in a tweet celebrating his good friend Hilda.
