Nigerians were wowed by the King of Ota, Ogun State after it was revealed that he was a professor at a university.
The Olota of Ota, Professor Adeyemei Obalanlege shared the purpose for his decision to continue teaching despite being the king.
In an interview with BBC News, he explained that he studied Mass Communication at the university and he had been teaching way before he was called to ascend the throne.

He shared that he had lectured students at Lagos State University, and currently teaches at Crescent University.
He explained that he continued teaching because one of the qualities of being a king was to advise and teach whoever needed his advice and that was what he was doing.

Wife of Alaafin of Oyo apologises, begs monarch to accept her back
In other news, 24-years-old Olori Damilola, estranged wife of the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi has tendered a public apology to the monarch and royal family for leaving the palace and tagging the monarch as uncaring.
Olori Damilola, betrothed to the 83-year-old Alaafin of Oyo in 2019, had left the palace in April stating that the monarch was not taking care of her and had asked one of his children to close her apartment door.
In her leaked chat with a friend on social media, she had complained of how she got married to the monarch without an option and was left as a rag.
“My marriage is two years and my baby will just turn a year old on February 15.I left the palace with nothing because I was not planning to leave soon. I am just too small to face the challenge of life. I got married to Kabiesi with no option and he left me like a rag. Kabiesi sent me out of the palace because of Naimat he said I was treating her,” she said.
